Real Repairs
The Problem
Door dispenser produced cubed ice fine, but the dedicated Craft Ice round mold in the freezer stopped working entirely. Owner had been hand-filling ice for cocktails for three weeks.
The Fix
Traced the issue to a seized motor in the Craft Ice maker assembly. Replaced the OEM Craft Ice module, ran a manual test cycle, and waited for the first three rounds to confirm proper ejection. Repair done in 90 minutes.
The Problem
B&B owner reported the entire tower walking across the laundry room floor during spin cycles. Loud thumping disturbed guests in adjacent rooms.
The Fix
Two of four shock absorbers were worn out and one suspension spring had detached. Replaced all four dampers as a set, reseated the springs, and leveled the unit with new anti-vibration feet. Tested with maximum load — completely stable.
The Problem
Ventless dryer halted at 30 minutes with a "Water Tank Full" alert despite the tank being clearly empty. Drain hose was correctly connected.
The Fix
Failed condensate pump was the culprit — water built up in the sump, triggering the float sensor. Replaced the OEM pump, cleared the drain channel, and ran two long cycles to confirm normal drainage. Total time on site: 2 hours.
The Problem
Slide-in oven door began drooping forward and wouldn't fully seal — visible heat leak around the upper gasket caused convection baking to fail consistently.
The Fix
Both spring-loaded door hinges had fatigued after years of self-clean cycles. Replaced both hinges as a matched pair plus the deformed silicone gasket. Tested seal with a paper-strip pull test at 350°F. Convection performance restored.
The Problem
Cooktop ran fine for 10–15 minutes, then displayed F19 error code and shut down all four induction zones. UltraHeat element worked but cut off mid-boil.
The Fix
F19 indicates an overheated internal cooling fan. Found the lower fan jammed with kitchen dust and a failed bearing. Replaced the OEM cooling fan assembly, cleared dust from the air intake grilles, and confirmed normal operation through a full hour of stress testing.
The Problem
Cycle completed normally with no error codes, but dishes came out with food residue and the 3rd rack utensils were untouched by water. TrueSteam was also weaker than usual.
The Fix
Lower QuadWash spray arm had cracked at the hub, losing water pressure across all four arms. Replaced the spray arm assembly, descaled the steam jet nozzles with citric acid, and cleared a partial filter blockage. Test cycle came out spotless.
